Finalist 2021 Barbieri Excellence Award
Tecnologie Grafiche is a leading company in Italy that offers services, consultancy, systems and tools for color and quality control for those working in the Graphic Arts and Paper converting sector, offering innovative solutions, well integrated with the overall needs of the customer, the result of thirty years of experience acquired. More than six hundred Italian companies have made use of the technical consultancy services aimed at defining company standards and technical specifications in the context of conventional and digital printing processes. The optimization of workflows, the introduction of measurement and control systems and the study of operating methodologies, have favored the reduction of waste and refurbishments in many companies.
Each substrate (media) used for digital printing has its own particular surface and internal structure, based on the type of material it is made of. The materials can in fact be of various types and characteristics: opaque, transparent, specular, translucent; smooth, embossed, textured, glossy, matte, etc.
The optical phenomena on the illuminated surfaces are of various types: reflection, transmission, specularity, diffraction, refraction, diffusion, absorption, dispersion.
A spectrophotometer must therefore have an optical geometry suitable for adequately capturing the light signal returned by the substrate during the color measurement phase. Most spectrophotometers on the market have been tested for reading opaque and planar-surfaced materials such as photographic papers.
The Barbieri Spectro LFP is the only instrument in the panorama able to guarantee high quality, precision and repeatability measurements on any type of substrate, material or media. Precise measurements mean excellent printer calibration and high quality ICC profiles for accurate color management, a guarantee of maximum color fidelity in any industrial digital printing application.
I started profiling in 1996: 25 years ago! I have never found a spectrophotometer capable of providing the quality and safety offered by Barbieri instruments. Barbieri Spectro LFP qb, the top of the range spectrophotometer, is an unsurpassed instrument that I have successfully used on ceramic, fabric, metal, wood, laminates, leather, glass and plexiglass. Hence it is the ideal tool for any industrial application and is of great economic value
