One more sales success for Barbieri spectrophotometer, documented by Rafael Blind, Reseller in Germany.
Hi Barbieri Team,
Yesterday I went to the customer in Germany [customer name removed as confidential]. They do already have a Spectro LFP Series 3 and yesterday they got the SpectroPad DOC and one day of consulting.
Yesterday I went to the customer in Germany [customer name removed as confidential]. They do already have a Spectro LFP Series 3 and yesterday they got the SpectroPad DOC and one day of consulting.
The customer is a very huge company. At entrance, I had to register showing my ID, sign several documents (including NDA) and watch a safety video. In order to access to the printers, I had to wear reflective vest, safety shoes, safety glasses and a helmet. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to take pictures.
The customer specialized in outdoor aluminum paneling and handles projects of all sizes. One of these projects was 25.000 sqm of printed aluminum for a fuel stations chain. They bought a flatbed printer few years ago in order to print directly on aluminum. Since then I follow this customer with consulting.
The (well-known) flatbed printer itself is huge, but small in comparison to the up- and unloading machinery, which is impressive. In this workflow, it is impossible to cut a piece of aluminum in order to measure it. Therefore, the ability to measure directly after the print, onto the media, is ingenious and essential for them.
The people who perform the color measurements at the beginning and end of each media roll, are blue-collar worker and have no clue about RIP, PC, color. At the beginning, they feared to touch the SpectroPad, but once they did a first measurement, everyone was extremely happy about the easiness. As at the end of the measurement there shows up just a green check mark which means “print”, and the whole process is extremely easy, everyone was really enthusiastic about the SpectroPad DOC.
The SpectroPad DOC is used once immediately after the print and once after the finishing.
We could use the SpectroPad as spot measuring device also for their small Roland printer.
The whole day was a full success as I sold a SpectroPad DOC as well as one day of consulting.
As a feedback to Barbieri HQ and my colleagues in sales: the SpectroPad DOC is REALLY well received and I’m convinced it is ideal for every medium to big sized digital printing company. I would state it is almost a MUST for them. The customer stated the SpectroPad must “go like hot cakes” as they did some market research and found nothing comparable.
I look forward to meet you all at FESPA!
Best regards,
Rafael Blind
