Spectro 100xy
Extremely precise color measurement
Spectro 100xy assures exact determination of colors on
both transparent and reflective materials. Thanks to a
highly sophisticated diffraction grating and
state-of-the-art electronics using best components this
revolutionary spectrophotometer assures utmost precision
in the determination of color values, as required today
for numerous applications. The core of this instrument
is a diffraction grating, warranting maximum stability
and maximum accuracy. This makes it possible to make
available to the most exacting user an instrument being
able to solve even the most complex color determination
problems.
For digital imaging
Individual ICC profiles for input and output equipment,
such as e.g. scanner, printer, can be created by means
of the measuring values of Spectro 100xy. This profiles
are then used by a color management system, such as e.g.
BARBIERI Profile-Xpert, for exactly matching the colors
of original and copy. Hence such an instrument is
indispensable for extremely true color rendition of
scanned in and elaborated fi lm or paper originals. For
contrary to the adaptation of characteristic curves and
gradation correction as can be made with densitometers,
the Spectro 100xy bases the color adaptation on the
transformation in a color space resulting in a much
bigger precision.
For traditional photography
Quality control in photo labs can be very much improved
thanks to Spectro 100xy, as with its help the color
difference (CIE, DEab and DEuv) as felt by the human eye
can be exactly determined. When duplicating
transparencies or prints the values thus determined
allow allocation of the final products to an
independent quality grade (color difference according to
DIN/ISO standards). Spectro 100xy can also be used as a
very accurate densitometer, because it displays on the
computer the densities of fi lm and paper with a
precision not reached by densitometers.
