FLAAR
Report on Color Management in the Real World
In November 2008 Nicholas Hellmuth (Flaar Reports)
visited a digital signage printing company with more
than two dozen wide-format inkjet printers with the goal
to see how color management equipment works in the real
world. The result is his “Site-visit Case Study with
grand format solvent and UV-curable printers”.
Nicholas Hellmuth is a consultant and lecturer in wide
format printing and lectured all over the world. He is
also president and founder of FLAAR. Their websites
www.FineArtGicleePrinters.org,
www.wide-format-printers.org,
and
www.large-format-printers.org
are reviewing high
end scanning and large format printing hardware and
software and are read by over one million people a year.
In his recent report Nicholas Hellmuth describes the
easy-of-use of color management software and devices in
combination with many different UV-curable printers,
solvent printers and textile printers. The most
interesting part to end-users most probably is the
explanation on cost benefits when using ICC profiles.
In this report Nicholas Hellmuth dedicated a part also
to BARBIERI electronic and their measuring devices.
Thanks to several statements of actual BARBIERI
equipment users readers will understand which benefits
BARBIERI solutions offer.

On February 26th and 27th Nicholas Hellmuth will be
present at the In-House Show at
WP Digital
. During this
event Barbieri’s special measuring devices will be shown
in a life performance and all visitors can have first
hand information about the top quality products Spectro
LFP and Spectro Swing of Barbieri as well as the Virtu
