ErgoSoft and BARBIERI electronic – a partnership to fully satisfy customer needs in textile print production

ErgoSoft, leader in workflow solutions for digital textile print production and BARBIERI electronic, leader in color management solutions for the large-format and flatbed printing sector have agreed a strategic partnership to fully satisfy customer needs in textile print production.

After one year of continuous research, development and tests of their products and services ErgoSoft and BARBIERI electronic are proud to announce to have started a strategic partnership. The last year was affected by intensive tests and improvements of the Spectro LFP, an automatic reflection and transmission spectrophotometer for the large-format and flatbed printing market together with TexPrint, the leading RIP software for textile printing. The knowledge of ErgoSoft in textile printing allowed BARBIERI electronic to enhance their product to fulfill totally the needs in textile print production. Being convinced of the characteristics of the Spectro LFP ErgoSoft decided to implement it in their RIP software TexPrint, StudioPrint (digital fine art and photographic image quality) and PosterPrint (industrial level solution for production of large format graphics). These three software cover a wide range of digital printing markets and in combination with the very exclusive characteristics of the Spectro LFP they form very special solutions for customers. The characteristics of the Spectro LFP are the automatic measurement system, measurements of reflective and transmissive media, suitable for most different materials, switchable measuring aperture, and spot measurements.

"The textile printing market is probably the one with the most interesting growth within the digital printing market.  Especially in Asia - but not only - textile printing has a big potential and quality will be of utmost importance. ErgoSoft is well-known in this particular market. Furthermore their mission and core values of quality go hand in hand with the ones of BARBIERI electronic. Therefore ErgoSoft is an excellent partner for us in order to offer to our common customers best solutions in textile print production."
Wolfgang Passler, Marketing Manager of BARBIERI electronic

Especially in textile print production the combination Spectro LFP / TexPrint is particularly interesting. The quality of the TexPrint RIP will be supported by the very reliable measurements of the Spectro LFP, thanks to the switchable measuring aperture and the quality of the optics of the instrument. Spot colors can be controlled due to spot measurements and the fully automatic measuring mode enables the customer to create ICC profiles of highest quality very quick and comfortable.

Today more and more applications arise where textiles are retro-illuminated and need proper linearization and ICC profiles. In such cases the combination of TexPrint and the Spectro LFP is unique worldwide as the customer is able to measure the textiles in transmission mode and to do the according linearization and profile creation.

ErgoSoft and BARBIERI electronic have realized how strong they could be on the market and how many advantages they could offer to their common customers. Therefore they have agreed a strategic partnership which consists of sharing knowledge, supporting each other in developing best products and serving the market together. Therefore, in order to offer the best support for the customers, also the Spectro LFP from BARBIERI electronic will be available at most of ErgoSoft dealers.
